Algebra 1 in Stephens City, VA

Hello Sheila, My son is in the 8th grade and is struggling with Algebra. He as "Inattentive" type ADD. He is never in trouble or misbehaving because he has often "checked out". This poses a particular problem because most kids have the "hyperactive" type ADD and get the attention they need because of their behavior difficulties. Noah is clearly capable of learning the material; however, getting him focused one on one is really a necessity. We are looking for someone with educational experience and working knowledge with how to keep Noah mentally engaged long enough to catch him back up in Algebra. As this final 9 weeks approaches it will be imperative to discover his knowledge gaps and identify a plan to help him be successful on the Algebra I SOL. Please let me know if this is something you think you are qualified to tackle.
