Hi, I'm looking for online help with practice problems for an advanced geophysics class. Example question would be: Using the relationship between seismic moment (M0) and the moment magnitude (Mw), compute the moment magnitude of the following earthquakes: (a) Jan 26, 2001, Southern India, Mo=2.3 x 1020 Newton-meters. (At least 20,085 people killed, 166,836 injured, approximately 339,000 buildings destroyed and 783,000 damaged in the Bhuj-Ahmadabad-Rajkot area and other parts of Gujarat.)
