Romanian in Portland, ME

Good morning Laura, my name is E. H. and I am interested in learning the Romanian language. I have been attempting to learn through audio CD's and I am finding that the CD's and what I see are online are different as far as word meanings. I am a 42 yr old male, a therapist, and PhD student. I would like to become fluent in this beautiful language. Will you please give me some information on how the education is done, and how to proceed? Thank you.
