2017 April 1st Fool`s Day Pranks

April 1st 2017 is April Fool’s day. If your friend ask for your help with harvesting picking freshly-grown spaghetti from his yard be weary … and perhaps smile.

Read on to find more famous pranks and our announcement that an medieval capital was found in the sea.April 1st Fool’s day is celebrated differently around the world. In the UK pranksters shout “April fool!” at the recipient, who becomes the “April fool”.

In France and French-speaking Canada people love to attach a paper fish to the victim’s back without being noticed. This is called poisson d’avril or “April’s fish”.

On April 1st we Americans often hear incredible stories in the news media. For example on April 1st, 2004 Burger King announced a new item on their menu: the “Left-Handed Wopper”. It had “all condiments rotated by 180 degrees”.

In 1987 a Los Angeles DJ broadcasted that the LA highway system would be shut down for repairs due to bad condition. the California Highway Patrol reported that they were flooded with calls throughout the day. And as one would expect the authorities of California Department of Transportation didn’t find this prank funny and had a hearty talk with the station’s managers.

The April 1999 edition of Red Herring Magazine included an article about a revolutionary new technology that allowed users to compose and send email telepathically. The company developing this technology was Tidal Wave Communications, led by Yuri Maldini, a computer genius from Estonia. Sounds wonderful!

In line with these previously announcements TutorZ announces today that one of his tutors – the archaeology tutor and world traveler Dirk Wagner – has found the location of the medieval capital Kingslanding as seen in the popular TV show Game of Thrones off the coast of modern day Croatia. The city is entirely burned down presumably by dragon fire and as a result sunk into the Mediterranean Sea.
