Web Stats September 2011

Yet again, September 2011 was a historically poor performing month — despite the back-to-school season. As reasons for this slump we mention again the loss of 32,000 Wyzant tutors and not performing marketing strategies.

There were only 60 unique, non-spam lead (down from 84 in August). 1,770 visitors came to Tutorz, just as in July). The visitor-to-lead conversion ratio dropped yet again substantially to 3.4% (from 4.7% in July). Not surprisingly, the new tutor sign-up count decreased as well to 20 (from 28 in August, it remains low). The traffic loss also caused Alexa’s to lower Tutorz’ Global Rank down to 15.3 million (12.9 million in June) and removed it completely from the local U.S. ranking. The bounce rate remains as bad as in August: 44%.

The graphs below visualize some of these of web statistics.
